Hello,
Alan here just giving you a quick update on my activities and the mountainboarding world at the moment!
Just got my new Hostile zip-up hood through the post, perfect for riding as its nice and warm but once you inevitably get too hot you can let the breeze flow!
Winter weather doesn’t make for the best boarding conditions but you can have a great laugh sliding around in the mud and the grounds nice and soft to learn tricks on, unfortunately it does kill your speed so can be a bit limiting. That’s why we have been hitting Skaterham indoor skatepark to keep us nice and dry and to learn some new tricks!
Team Ride the Hill have confirmed some Demo’s we will be doing this year, I’ll be riding along with the rest of the Ride the Hill team and special guests, previous guests have included two UK champions and the U18 world champion. These are the dates so if your around please feel free to come along and watch:
Saturday 1st May – Priory Park, Reigate (Hopefully won’t rain this time!!)
Monday 2nd May – Bradfield Fayre, Reading
Sunday 7th May – COWPIE Show, Oxted
Saturday 18th June – DEFEST, Caterham,
Saturday 25th June – Priory Park, Reigate
Saturday 2nd July – Memorial Park, Redhill
Friday 8th – Sunday 10th July – NASS Festival, Bath and West Showground
Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st July – Wheels, Littlehampton
We’ve also got a few unconfirmed ones which I’ll keep you informed about.
Also there is the Ride the Hill BIG WEEKEND happening on 16th and 17th April featuring myself and some of the UK and world’s best riders competing in a few different competitions, spectators are free so come and check out some top level riding!
In the meantime here’s a quick video from the Race for Life event we demo’d at last year! Enjoy!
and a video showing you how not to do it!
