Greatest Achievement?

Getting on the British leading team, competing for GB in the European Youth Cup in Slovenia, Winning the 2010 British leading ladder final, First assent of Attila in Northumberland.

 

What’s coming up?

I am going to South Africa in August to climb at the Rockland’s, I can’t wait, all I have been doing is watching videos of the amazing climbing there. I am hopefully going to compete in the world championships in Arco Italy from 16th June to the 18th June, then back climbing in Northumberland trying to put up a couple of new climbs I have had my eye on.

 

Most Hostile experience?

I have had a few Hostile experience everything from being beaten up on New Years Eve to clothes shopping when there was a sale on!! I reckon my most Hostile experience was when me and my dad went multi pitch climbing in the lakes, we were 4 pitches up (about 80 metres) with another 3 pitches to go. I set off to climb the next pitch but fell before I put any protection in the rock and landed on the ledge my dad was belaying from. I landed with all my weight on my elbow and hit my head off a rock, I insistently felt dizzy and sick I couldn’t straighten my arm and was finding it hard work keeping my eyes open. It was easier to go up than to back off the route so my dad took over as I tried my best to stay conscious and belay one armed. I then had to climb the last few pitches using my bad arm to take out any protection while fighting back the feeling of being sick. We eventually made it to the top and for a moment i felt incredible relief that it was over. My dad then reminded me of the very spicy decent down a scree slope and the 2 hour walk to the car.

The Board of Fear tee is my favourite.

Who makes you laugh?

Big fan of Ross Noble. I have recently move home and my little sister Kate keeps me laughing.

 

If you had a younger brother what advice would you give him?

Pay attention in school then once that’s over go climb the world!
